What is money and how to use it?

Before “currency” or money, the only way to get anything you DIDN’T have was to find someone who had what you needed, that ALSO needed what you had! As you can imaging that was a very very clunky system of doing business. What made matters worse was if the value did not match up. In an agricultural or even in an industrial society, if you had two sheep, but I only had one barrel of corn, we had to figure out a way to align the values of both items so that it was a “fair” trade.

Money is created and regulated by governments or group of governments so that they can tax the people and so that there is monetary oversight, ease of commerce, and so the government and the people within it can function and live their lives. Some people trade time and skills for money (jobs) and some people create value by selling an item or service to others. Value is definitely in the eye of the beholder.

What can you do with Money!
